Hand washing has been reinvented by TEAL with
the launch of the Hygienius - a revolutionary
new product that allows individuals to wash their
hands without touching a tap.
Just placing hands in the bowl triggers a sensor
which instantaneously heats water and then delivers
a ten second wash at the optimum temperature of
40-45°C.
The Hygienius also has the added advantage
of requiring no plumbing or drainage which means it
is completely portable. The unit is free standing and
requires just a 13 amp socket for operation.
Moulded in tough, high impact polyethylene with an acrylic
capped ABS bowl, the Hygienius is fully automatic with
no switches, buttons or settings to be adjusted.
The unit's unique TEALtainertm stores ten litres of
clean water - enough for 50 ten second hand washes -
and features a separate compartment to hygienically
store dirty water.
The impressive features of the Hygienius are matched
by its environmental credentials. It uses 75 per cent
less water than the best automatic taps to provide a
ten second hand wash and the electronically controlled
instantaneous heater keeps energy costs down to as little
as one fifth of a conventionally plumbed in system.
Stylishly designed in silver, the unit features a unique
illuminated display inviting people to: "Now wash
your hands".
