Messe Berlin is now offering a separate marketing platform for the rapidly growing fresh-cut convenience product industry. The demand in this sector has gained significantly over the past few years. This is a direct result of the growing number of single households, the change in eating habits with more people enjoying meals away from home, and on-the-spot product availability.
Fresh-cut convenience products include ready-to-eat fresh fruit and vegetables that are cut or peeled and refrigerated or sold in special packages by food retailers and restaurants or through direct sales.
These products often consist of salads with dressing, meat, cheese and other protein-rich ingredients, or carbohydrates like croutons.
Produce companies specialising in fresh-cut convenience products are invited to exhibit at the special trade fair beginning in 2008. FRUIT LOGISTICA exhibitors can benefit from the additional trade visitor potential offered by FRESHCONEX.
The trade fair is organised by Messe Berlin GmbH and the FRUIT LOGISTICA project team. Joint partner is Eurofruit Magazine (London).
