new linerless labelling centre for ravenwood

Chilled food packaging specialist Ravenwood Packaging has set up a new UK-based linerless labels technology centre to help supply the ultra-efficient labelling systems that produce linerless adhesive backing labels.

The young and proactive team of labelling specialists, has opened brand new multifunctional demonstration sales and service centre in Suffolk to add to its original base in Norwich which focuses on the manufacture of linerless label systems and other similarly creative packaging products.

The company has so far sold in excess of 200 machines to around 95 customers, who are selecting the high quality sleevers, applicators and labels to greatly enhance the image of their finished products while keeping their investment in packaging materials to a green and eco-friendly minimum.

Ravenwood's customers are mostly drawn from the chilled food sector - buying Nobac 125 high speed linerless labelling systems and Nobac 500 linerless sleevers and Nobac 400V, an applicator focused entirely on c-wrap applications which can c-wrap both regular shaped packs and irregular packs such as whole birds - but the company is already broadening its client base through the introduction of innovative new packaging ideas to include other industry sectors including drinks, healthcare, pharmaceutical, cosmetics and toiletries.

Now as one of the UK's most competitive and fast-responding companies, Ravenwood has opened the new Bury St Edmunds centre in order to secure more space to showcase its growing number of applicators and make its sales and service functions even more efficient.

Said founder and MD Paul Beamish, who has worked in the industry for nearly 20 years: 'Our new linerless technology centre will help us to provide better service, not only our UK-based customers but to our growing number of European customers including those from Norway, Sweden, France, Holland and Spain.'

'Linerless labels allow customers to have it all. They can be stunningly good looking, are easy to apply and allow for the most simple and effective packaging concepts find their ways to the shelves. Above all, they are planet-friendly and this is why the major buyers have taken to them so enthusiastically.'

'The machines we are supplying are top quality but they are not excessively priced. They help products to win customers over and then secure repeat sales and that is why we have made such a healthy start to selling in Europe and worldwide.'

'We are already working on some new and smart solutions for our chilled food customers to keep them pushing ahead with retail sales, and we have some new and exclusive applicators and product management systems in development for use in other sectors.'

Packaging systems available from Ravenwood include Nobac sleevers and Trojan Applicators.

Among the company's UK customers are listed Bowes of Norfolk, ABP, Hilton Meats, Bernard Matthews, Cumberland Coldstores, Dalehead Foods, Danwfresh, Dovecote Park, Grampian Hall, Moy Park, Northern Venison, ScotTrout and Lyons Seafoods.

Agents and licensees are coming on stream to help with the worldwide marketing of products. Ravenwood is already represented in Japan and Australia and is soon to be represented in a number of additional key countries across the globe including the US.
