Colin joined Culina in October 2005 as general manager for the company's Prime Point distribution centre in Staffordshire and has been responsible for effectively integrating the facility within the existing network.
His success has been recognised with this promotion, where he will also oversee the company's operations at Milton Keynes and Market Drayton. Additionally he is project manager for Culina's proposed new site.
His key responsibilities in this new role will be to further integrate the network and develop a centralised planning operation to ensure customer needs are met in a responsive and efficient manner.
"I am pleased to be embarking on a new challenge as Culina continues to expand its market base with new customers," says Colin.
"My main objective will be to meet the demands of constantly changing retailer delivery profiles. In a competitive area it is important that we continue to adapt our operation with increased value added services to offer flexibility."
Colin has over 30 years experience in the industry; before joining Culina he managed a wide range of contracts on behalf of blue chip customers.
"We have developed a strong in-house management team," said Rien Brakel, managing director at Culina. "I'm confident Colin will play a major role in continuing to improve the services we provide for customers as we continue to grow.
