Most dryers have nozzles that are fixed.
The new system, however, has nozzles that
can be moved closer together or farther apart
to change the properties of the powder produces.
If, for example, a more product is required,
the nozzles can be moved progressively closer
together until the desired formulation is
achieved. For a powder with less agglomeration,
the nozzles are moved farther apart.
This adjustment can be made safely as the
dryer is operating. The greater flexibility
allows the precise bulk density of the resulting
powder to be matched precisely to requirements.
