ICA Architects + Designers

Reflecting the Client's Personality...

There is more to architecture than aesthetics. Sharing your vision, applying creativity, and executing your goals on-time and within budget are rare skills among architects.

Yet the professionals at ICA Architects + Designers excel at turning your ideas into requirements and turning those requirements into affordable, aesthetically pleasing and exciting results.

ICA provide architectural and interior design services to discerning clients throughout the UK, with most of its projects having a construction value of between £3 million and £14 million. Its brief is wide, incorporating the full spectrum of commercial development, including residential, education, retail, offices and public buildings.

Recent projects include a number of high profile city centre developments. Key urban regeneration projects have been located in the centre of Newcastle, Birmingham, London, Glasgow, Hamilton and Edinburgh. Other projects in contrast to this include sensitive greenbelt and conservation locations.

Current and completed projects include a 20-storey mixed office and hotel development in the centre of Croydon, work on Ramada Encore, a new enticing brand of Ramada Hotels, and a major scheme in the heart of Newcastle that is part of a wide city centre regeneration project.

ICA is also active on jobs at Pacific Quay in Glasgow, The Royal Mile in Edinburgh, and in the City of London; the latter being another new hotel concept, the Staybridge Suites (an extended stay hotel) for InterContinental Hotels.

ICA's buildings do not all look alike. They look different because their owners are different. Each new project is a new design problem - and they enjoy that! What unifies the practice's design work is not style, but quality and a reflection of the clients' needs and personalities. Moreover, by partnering with a number of leading experts, ICA has developed procedures to procure and manage contracts that maximise the development return, and maintain control of design quality.

A key to its approach is working with clients as a team to establish goals and a common direction. ICA prides itself on its ability to listen and foster good communication in order to establish a positive working relationship. Put simply, at ICA its projects are as unique as its clients' dreams, but they all have one thing in common: good quality design.
